Kerrye, LMSW

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here, and you’ve already taken the most important—and often the hardest—step in your healing journey.

Maybe you are feeling certain ways…

feeling stuck, overwhelmed by your thoughts, or weighed down by the past or present. You’re ready for change, even if you’re not sure what that looks like yet. Together, we’ll explore your values, identify what’s standing in your way, and create a personalized plan to help you move forward. The power of human connection and the importance of a collaborative therapeutic relationship. In our sessions, you’ll find a safe, supportive space where you’ll feel heard, validated, and empowered. We’ll work together to address the challenges of ADHD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, and trauma, all while fostering an environment of growth and healing.

As we work together…

We’ll uncover long-held beliefs that may cloud your perspective or hold you back. Perhaps there’s a core belief about yourself that negatively affects your relationships or sense of self-worth. These thoughts can weigh you down, filling you with doubt and a pessimistic outlook on life. We’ll gently challenge these thoughts, question their validity, and work to replace them with healthier, more positive thought patterns.

Our work together will focus on…

How your thoughts influence your emotions. By reframing your mindset and integrating positive affirmations, we’ll enhance your confidence and self-esteem. Through practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR Therapy- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) you’ll gain practical tools to unhook from negative thinking, find motivation when you feel stuck, and navigate difficult emotions as they arise.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand the frustrations of not feeling seen or heard, which is why empathy is at the heart of my approach. When you sit down for a session, I want you to feel free to show up exactly as you are, without fear of judgment.

Along the way, I’ll encourage small, actionable goals and offer “homework” to help you build on the skills we’ve developed in our sessions. While this isn’t mandatory, it’s a valuable tool for reflection, monitoring thought patterns, and reinforcing your progress.

About Me

How I can help you…

As your therapist, my role is to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and meaningful feedback as you navigate your personal journey.

Together, we’ll identify the barriers holding you back and work toward setting and achieving goals that bring you closer to a happier, stronger version of yourself.

You are important, you matter, and I am here to help empower you. By the end of our time together, you’ll have a deeper understanding of yourself and a more positive outlook on life.

Education and training…

I earned my Bachelor’s in Health Science with a focus on psychology and community development from Central Michigan University. After serving in the United States Army and recognizing the growing mental health needs in both military and civilian communities, I decided to continue my education, earning a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Over the past 10 years, I have taken on various roles, including providing brief crisis interventions, conducting substance abuse and mental health evaluations, and working on the trauma floor at a local hospital. I have also gained experience in inpatient mental health, medical social work, and working with clients in a private practice setting who are dealing with symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), both of which help guide the work we do together. I tend to throw in some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) tools in our therapy sessions. I am also trained in EMDR Therapy- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help with trauma/ptsd.

When I am not giving therapy…

You’ll often find me on the soccer field cheering on one of my two daughters during their travel soccer games, exploring the world with my husband, staying active at the gym, or getting my hands dirty in the garden.

I truly believe in the therapeutic power of nature.

It’s time to GROW

Growth happens outside of comfort zones, and I am here to help you grow and thrive.
