The Journey Starts Here…
Everyone is searching for something in life; meaning, peace, connection, or simply a sense that things will eventually make sense can be hard to come by. It was supposed to be easier than this. There have been good moments, but they seem to be infrequent and fleeting. Something feels off. You may not be able to name it, or you may know exactly what’s wrong but feel stuck, unable to see a way forward. No matter how much effort you put in, you find yourself circling back to the same place, only more tired and less hopeful than before.
Be Seen, Feel Heard…
Daily life can be alienating. It can feel like no one truly knows or understands what you’re carrying. Even when you’re surrounded by people, you may feel alone. Talking about your struggles can feel uncomfortable or unfair, as if you’re burdening your family or friends with things they can’t fix. You deserve a space where you don’t have to keep it all in.
That space is my promise to you. When you sit with me, nothing else competes for your attention. You are not rushed, minimized, or judged. You have my full presence. Here, you can speak freely and honestly. Together, we will work toward not only finding relief in our sessions, but learning how to carry that sense of safety and self-understanding into every part of your life.
Collaboration & Compassion…
Therapy is a team effort. It takes time and it takes commitment. Some days will feel lighter, and others may feel challenging or emotionally demanding. Through all of it, you will not be alone. You will find support and compassion without judgment. Every small success will be cheered, and any setbacks will be learning opportunities. We won’t take shortcuts or look for quick fixes, because lasting change is built carefully and intentionally. The only way out is through, but we will go through it together.
My Approach…
Therapy with me is rooted in a person-centered approach. I believe in the healing power of empathy. I build on that with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. The combination of a strong therapeutic alliance and an approach tailored to your needs keeps our work focused while remaining personal. As your therapist, I will help you discover the strength within yourself to overcome barriers and change patterns that are keeping you stuck.
About Me
My Mission In Life…
I have always wanted to make the world a better place. Each person I work with gives me the chance to do exactly that. The sun shines a little brighter and the grass is a little greener every time a client lives a fuller, happier life with the help of the work we do together.
Education and training…
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Clarion University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from PennWest University. The most profound experiences I’ve had have been working with teens and adults whose lives were derailed by trauma or addiction and who were desperately trying to regain control. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, ptsd, self-care, self-compassion, etc.
When I am not giving therapy…
I can normally be found with a cup of tea in my hand and one of my three cats sleeping next to me while I read or wait for my latest batch of cookies or loaf of bread to finish baking. When the weather is nice, you’re likely going to find me biking, hiking, or gardening (often unsuccessfully).
My goal is…
For therapy to be a transformative experience for you—one where you find within yourself what you need to live the life you deserve.
