Daina, LPC

Hi there!

I want you to know that I am already proud of you for taking the important first step toward making positive changes in your life by choosing therapy.

Working with me…

is an experience centered on empathy, collaboration, and lasting change. From the moment we begin, you may be surprised at how quickly you start feeling heard and understood. Many clients find that having a safe, judgment-free space to express themselves is truly transformative. As we explore the root causes of your struggles, we will focus on what’s really going on beneath the surface rather than just managing symptoms.

Our work together…

Our work together will be a partnership where we set goals, develop strategies, and tailor the process to your unique challenges. I will provide practical tools to empower your growth and guide you through life’s complexities. With each session, you will gain greater clarity, healthier coping mechanisms, and a stronger sense of control over your emotions and reactions. Together, we’ll celebrate wins—no matter how small—and approach challenges with both compassion and action.

As time goes on…

you’ll begin to notice meaningful shifts: new ways of thinking, greater emotional stability, and increased confidence in navigating life. My approach is designed to foster lasting transformation, helping you feel more empowered and equipped to manage anxiety, trauma, or life transitions. Using evidence-based techniques such as EMDR and CBT, we will work to heal past wounds, overcome limiting beliefs, and build the emotional resilience needed to move forward.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Before seeking help, you may have felt as though a constant weight was on your shoulders—anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and the pressure to be “enough.” By choosing therapy, you’re taking the first step toward clarity, peace, and self-compassion. My goal is to support you on this journey, helping you regain control and create the life you want—step by step, with confidence and healing. Ultimately, I want you to feel empowered and more in tune with yourself, ready to face life’s challenges with resilience and a deeper sense of peace.

About Me

How I can help you…

My mission is to help people discover their healthiest, most authentic selves. Life isn’t always easy, but I want you to be able to embrace the good times and navigate the difficult moments with confidence.

I’ve known since I was a teenager that I wanted to help people. My deep interest in psychology led me to become a counselor, allowing me to support those struggling with their mental health.

Education and training…

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia College & State University and my Master’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University, both in Georgia. I spent many years working for a community mental health service board, providing counseling to individuals facing financial hardship.

I enjoy working with motivated men and women who struggle with anxiety, depression, and the effects of trauma.

As a therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts influence their emotions and actions. This approach is particularly effective for managing depression and anxiety. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process trauma.

When I am not giving therapy…

I enjoy playing games with friends and spending time out on the lake in the summer. I also love unwinding with a good book or crocheting in my free time.

My goal is to make therapy a positive experience for you…

There’s no better time than now to make lasting changes. More importantly, you don’t have to do it alone. Let me guide you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery, helping you become a healthier, more authentic version of yourself.
