Daina, LPC

Hi there!

The first thing I want you to know is that I’m already proud of you for taking the first step by seeking therapy. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I want you to know that healing is possible. No matter what brought you here—pain from the past, anxiety that feels hard to manage, or a desire to finally feel more at peace within yourself—therapy can help you move forward in meaningful and lasting ways.

Working with me…

I specialize in helping women and men heal from trauma—whether it began in childhood or occurred later in life. Trauma can take many forms. It might come from painful experiences, relationships that left emotional scars, or events that made you feel unsafe or unseen. Even when life looks fine on the surface, the body and mind can continue to carry the weight of what you’ve been through, often showing up as anxiety, depression, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others.

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, a research-supported approach that helps release the emotional and somatic effects of trauma. EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful memories so they lose their emotional intensity, helping to reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression while restoring a sense of safety and balance.

Our work together…

I see therapy as a collaborative process—one where you and I work together toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. EMDR is an active and engaged approach, and your motivation to do the work—both inside and outside of sessions—is an important part of your healing journey.

Many of my clients are surprised by how quickly they begin to feel understood and supported. As we progress, you may notice meaningful shifts: greater clarity, improved coping, and a stronger sense of control over your emotions and reactions. We’ll celebrate small wins along the way and approach challenges with compassion, patience, and intention.

As time goes on…

Over time, therapy often leads to deep and lasting change. You may find yourself feeling more grounded, confident, and connected—to both yourself and the people around you. Many clients describe a renewed sense of balance and inner calm, as well as the ability to respond to life’s stressors from a place of strength rather than reactivity.

My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and holistic. I integrate mind-body awareness and somatic understanding into my work, helping you reconnect with your emotions in a way that feels safe and empowering. Together, we’ll not only reduce symptoms but also help you build a more authentic, fulfilling relationship with yourself.

About Me

How I can help you…

I believe therapy is not just about managing what’s difficult—it’s about creating space for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

My goal is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that feel lost or silenced, so you can move through life with greater ease and confidence. Whether you’re struggling with trauma, anxiety, or simply feeling “stuck,” I’ll meet you with compassion and evidence-based care to help you move forward.

Education and training…

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia College & State University and my Master’s degree in Psychology from Valdosta State University. I’ve been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013 and have completed specialized training in EMDR therapy. Before entering private practice, I spent several years providing counseling through a community mental health organization, which taught me the value of patience, empathy, and meeting clients exactly where they are.

When I am not giving therapy…

When I’m not in the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with friends, being out on the lake, reading, and crocheting. These moments of calm and creativity remind me that healing often happens in the quiet, everyday parts of life—the same sense of balance I hope to help my clients discover within themselves.

My goal is to make therapy a positive experience for you…

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to make the process feel comfortable, collaborative, and grounded in trust. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you process your past, reconnect with your present, and move forward with strength and resilience.
