Helping You Become Your Best Self

I want to help you become the best version of yourself. By giving you the opportunity to better understand who you are and supporting your personal growth, I’ll help you recognize and build on your strengths, leading you toward a deeper sense of balance and fulfillment.

What Therapy With Me Feels Like…

When we begin working together, you might be surprised by how much we laugh. Some of the most honest moments in therapy happen right after a genuine laugh, when your guard comes down for just a moment. Humor can be a powerful tool for breaking the ice, building connection, and easing the nerves that often come with starting therapy.

As we work together, you’ll notice that I prioritize creating a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable opening up. I also enjoy taking a creative and flexible approach to therapy, tailoring our work to meet your unique needs and helping you move through the challenges you’re facing.

My Approach To Therapy

Over time, the work naturally shifts. Early on, it’s often about naming what’s really happening and gaining clarity. As therapy progresses, it becomes less about managing symptoms and more about rebuilding trust in yourself—making decisions with confidence, setting healthy boundaries, and learning to tolerate discomfort without feeling controlled by it. My hope is that you leave each session with a stronger relationship to your own mind, your emotions, and ultimately your life.

Many people come to therapy feeling like they’ve been trying to solve the same problems with willpower alone. Often, more effort isn’t what’s needed—a different perspective is. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that may be difficult to recognize on your own and develop practical ways to create lasting change.

How We Create Lasting Change…

believe therapy should be active and meaningful. You deserve more than simply having a place to vent once a week. That’s why I incorporate evidence-based approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

  • EMDR helps process experiences from the past that continue to affect the present.
  • CBT helps identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns.
  • DBT builds skills for managing overwhelming emotions and navigating life’s challenges more effectively.

If you’ve been to therapy before and left feeling like you were talked at instead of truly worked with, my approach is different. I bring directness, creativity, compassion, and authenticity to both the clinical work and the therapeutic relationship.

What You Can Expect…

Practically, this means leaving sessions with something you can actually use—not just homework that sits untouched, but meaningful shifts you can feel: making decisions with greater clarity, setting boundaries you once avoided, or noticing that memories which once overwhelmed you no longer control your nervous system.

Over time, those small changes build into something much bigger. You spend less time reacting to life and more time truly living it—feeling steadier, lighter, and more like yourself.

The goal isn’t to become someone else. It’s to reconnect with the version of yourself that isn’t constantly working against you.

About Me

My Mission In Life…

Is to pursue and cultivate joy wherever I can. I believe experiencing joy—and sharing it with others—is something worth striving for every day, whether in the therapy room or in everyday life. My passion for helping others is what led me to become a social worker and therapist.

Education and training…

I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Oakland University and my Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. I bring experience in international social work, gerontology, youth and family systems, LGBTQ+ affirming care, and community-based case management supporting individuals living with serious mental illness and crisis. Those experiences have allowed me to sit alongside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, teaching me the importance of compassion, resilience, and not shying away from complexity.

As a therapist, I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide evidence-based care tailored to each person’s goals and needs.

When I am not giving therapy…

Outside of the office, I’m very close with my siblings—we enjoy playing tennis (badly, but competitively!). I also love reading, playing chess, creating art, and making music.

My Hope For You…

Ultimately, my goal is to make therapy a positive, meaningful, and transformative experience that helps you grow into the happiest, healthiest, and most authentic version of yourself.
