Jeana, Intake Clinician

Welcome!

You don’t have to have everything figured out—you just have to be here, in this moment. And I am so glad you are.

I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel vulnerable, overwhelming, or even a little scary. As an intake clinician, my role is to create a welcoming space where you can share what brought you here without judgment or pressure. I believe reaching out for support is the first meaningful step, and you deserve to feel heard, understood, and comfortable throughout the process. I will take the time to listen to your story, understand what you are hoping for in therapy, and learn what support may be the best fit for you.

You will find that my approach is warm, compassionate, and person-centered. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health and that finding the right therapist can make all the difference. Whether you’re navigating a difficult season, feeling overwhelmed, or simply know that something needs to change, you don’t have to figure it out all on your own. My goal is to help you feel supported from the very first conversation and confident about the next steps in your journey.

About Me

Living Your Best Life

I truly believe that we all deserve the opportunity to live our best life—not a perfect life, but a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and authentically our own. My mission is to help people take steps toward that life by connecting them with a therapist who understands them and is the right fit for what they’re going through.

I’ve experienced my own hardships and seasons of uncertainty, and those experiences have shaped how I show up for others. They’ve taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and having someone who simply listens without judgment. You do not have to have all the answers right now. Finding the right person to walk alongside you can be the beginning of something really meaningful, and I’m so honored that I get to help make that connection.

Education and Training

I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and after receiving my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Crisis Intervention.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including community mental health, schools, and private practice. These experiences have allowed me to work with individuals across the lifespan and support people through a wide range of challenges and life experiences.

When I am not working with clients…

You can find me spending time with my husband, daughter, and our spunky cocker spaniel, Silas. We love being outdoors, golfing, boating, skiing, and trying new restaurants. I also spend a lot of time in the gym coaching high school and club volleyball—something I truly love. And when life slows down, you’ll find me curled up with a good book and enjoying some quiet time. Family connection and making the most of life are what keep me grounded and remind me to practice what I encourage others to do: live your best life.

Again, I am so glad you are here.
