Ashleigh, LLMSW

Welcome!

You’ve done everything “right” – the job, the move, the brave decisions – and yet something still feels off. You’re not falling apart, exactly…but you’re floating. Unanchored. You’ve outgrown the version of yourself that once made sense, and now you’re wondering: Who am I becoming?

If you’re navigating a life transition, whether it’s moving, shifting identities, or simply hitting a point where things that once worked just don’t anymore, or are feeling overwhelmed and unsure of your next steps, you’re in the right place. You don’t have to figure this out alone. There’s room here for all of it: the confusion, the hope, the exhaustion, the quiet determination to keep going.

Finding relief…

One of the most unexpected things clients often share is the relief they feel, not just from being heard, but from not needing to perform. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing”you. It’s about finally having space to be fully yourself, even if you’re not sure who that is yet. Together, we slow down the swirl of thoughts, name the invisible weight you’ve been carrying, and begin rebuilding from a place that feels more grounded and truer. You might be surprised by how much strength you already have, even if it’s buried under burnout, grief, or uncertainty. My role isn’t to hand you answers, but to walk beside you as you find them in your own voice.

Sitting in a virtual space with me…

From the moment you log into our virtual session, you’ll feel that you don’t need to edit yourself here. My therapy space is calm and grounded – a mix of warmth, reflection, and gentle challenge. We’ll start where you are. Maybe that’s catching your breath. Maybe it’s naming a fear or just saying, “I don’t know what I need, but I know I need something.” That’s enough. That’s where we begin.

Being my client doesn’t mean showing up perfectly every week. It means showing up real. Whether you’re spiraling in doubt, stuck in people-pleasing patterns, or exhausted from trying to belong, you’ll be met with compassion and clarity. As we work together, you’ll notice subtle shifts: more self-trust, stronger boundaries, a quiet confidence returning. You’ll stop reshaping yourself to fit in and start rediscovering who you are, outside of everyone else’s expectations.

Over weeks and months, therapy starts to feel less like a lifeline and more like an anchor. We’ll dig deep when needed, but we’ll also laugh, reframe, and celebrate growth, even the small wins. You’ll find yourself connecting dots you hadn’t seen before. Words like “I don’t know who I am” start to transform into “This is who I’m becoming.” The process isn’t always easy, but it’s real. It’s grounded in truth, guided by your values, and supported by a relationship that stays steady even when life doesn’t.

My therapeutic focus…

Being a person in today’s world, especially one navigating a big change, can feel like trying to rebuild a house in a storm. You’re carrying expectations, maybe culture shock, grief, and uncertainty all at once. And somehow, you’re still showing up.

My work offers a pause. A place to unpack all of that and begin sorting what’s yours, what’s not, and what’s next. Therapy with me is about reclaiming your story and learning how to stand in it with both softness and strength.

Becoming…

Because this isn’t just about coping, it’s about becoming. The kind of therapy I offer help you reconnect with yourself, your values, and your voice. I hold space for all of you: the parts that feel lost, the parts that are still hopefully, and the parts that are ready to grow. Together, we translate your experience back to you, not as weakness, but as evidence of your strength.

Let Me Show You How I can Help You…

Through culturally aware, client-centered work, I help you navigate transitions with intention. We bring your strengths into focus, challenge unhelpful patterns, and create a space for new stories to emerge. If you’re ready to stop feeling like you’re living someone else’s version of your life and start stepping into your own, I’m here to help.

About Me

Education and training…

At the core of my work is a simple belief: healing happens in relationship, with ourselves and with others. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are, without having to perform or shrink. A space that feels honest, safe, and human. I didn’t always plan on becoming a therapist, but looking back, it makes sense. I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories, especially the unconventional, in-between ones.

I studied Political Science and International Studies at Northern Michigan University and spent time in international education, and community-based programs, and received my Master of Social Work at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and strengths-based, and I work with clients navigating anxiety, identity, burnout, life transitions, and the quiet ache of not feeling quite at home in the world.

When I am not giving therapy…

I’m usually outside. I love hiking, road trips, travel and being near water – especially Lake Superior. I’ve visited 33 countries and counting, and Scotland is the one place I return to in my mind again and again. I also love cooking, used bookstores, long conversations, and spending time with my two dogs. I care deeply about conservation work, especially efforts to restore the Columbia River Basin for wild salmon and orcas (caring for my inner child who aspired to be a marine biologist). I value honesty, loyalty, and showing up fully in the relationships that matter. If you’re looking for someone to walk alongside you, not to fix you, but to hold space for who you are and who you are becoming, I’d be honored to be part of that process.

My Goal For You Is To …

Make therapy a positive experience for you.

…one that doesn’t just give you tools, but also gives you, you. You’ll leave feeling more connected, more grounded, and more capable of navigating life with clarity and care.
